Rome October 2013 \u2013 Thursday 31st will see the opening of the multimedia exhibition\u00a0Icons&Idols<\/strong>\u00a0at\u00a0La Pelanda<\/strong>,\u00a0MACRO Testaccio\u00a0<\/strong>(Museum of Contemporary Art, Rome).<\/p>\n

This unique event premieres a collaboration between\u00a0Marta Czok<\/a><\/strong>and London based\u00a0Jacek Ludwig Scarso<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0with\u00a0Elastic Theatre<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Icons&Idols<\/strong>\u00a0is an interdisciplinary exploration of sacred and profane themes. Through paintings and multimedia installations, the viewer embarks upon a bizarre journey, shifting between the world that surrounds us and our most intimate thoughts.<\/p>\n

Sharing a humourous tone, the works of both artists intertwine in an environment that is reminiscent of a sacred space. If, on the one hand,\u00a0Marta Czok<\/strong>\u00a0looks exposes the idols and myths of contemporary society,\u00a0Jacek Ludwig Scarso<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Elastic Theatre<\/strong>draw on the sacred as a language dense with ambiguity.<\/p>\n

Icons&Idols<\/strong>\u00a0is an immersive experience, in a mysterious, yet curiously familiar dimension.<\/p>\n
